Queen Camilla makes rare political comment as she reunites with 'spin doctor'
Queen Camilla made a rare political comment as she joked that US politics are "never boring" as she attended a service to mark the 650th anniversary of the Guild of St Bride in Fleet Street on Tuesday.
Dressed in emerald green, Camilla, 78, met Rozina Sabur, national security editor at The Telegraph, who explained that she had spent eight years covering US politics in Washington, DC, before taking up her current role. Joking about how the job was "never boring," Ms Sabur's comment was echoed by Queen Camilla, who added with a laugh: "Never boring."
The King and Queen most recently hosted the US President and First Lady for a State Visit in September, and are expected to return the favour later this year as it marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the US Declaration of Independence.
During her visit, the Queen joined the congregation for a service recognising the guild's work, before greeting journalism students supported by the guild's bursary.
Camilla, who is patron of the guild, met Charlotte Galea, 23, who explained that the bursary means "everything" to her, adding: "I wouldn't be able to get into journalism without it, it's so closed off to people who don't have money."
Explaining what it was like to meet the Queen, Ms Galea said: "She was really lovely, really, really kind. Very ordinary, exactly what you would want from a royal."

There was also a blast from the past for Camilla as she was reunited with her old 'spin doctor', Mark Bolland - the PR guru who was tasked with rehabilitating her public image in the late 90s and early 2000s.
The church rector, Rev Canon Dr Alison Joyce, described St Bride's as a "spiritual home" for printers and journalists.
Within the church lies a Journalists' Altar, which commemorates those working in the industry who have died, are held hostage or are missing.
For her second engagement on Tuesday, the Queen will host an evening reception to mark 30 years of The Amber Trust at Clarence House. The charity is dedicated to supporting vision-impaired children with their musical development and education.
