Ramgarh Police Arrest 7 in Steel Factory Robbery
Ramgarh: Seven people were arrested for looting 2,000 kg copper and other metal scraps from a closed steel factory in the district on Jan 12. The men, the police on Thursday said, were arrested from Bokaro and Hazaribag districts.
On Jan 12, the men, brandishing guns, stormed into the premises of the Dayal Steel Plant on the Ramgarh-Bokaro highway. They held security guards at gunpoint before locking them up in a room. Then, they robbed metals and scraps and carried them away in a pickup van.

A case was registered with the Ramgarh police station under section 310 (2) of BNS on the same day against 10-12 unknown miscreants.
Ramgarh SP Ajay Kumar said a special investigation team of the district police cracked the case. “The recovered copper is valued at Rs 3 lakh. We also seized country-made pistols, live cartridges, and two pickup vans from them,” he said.
Those arrested were identified as Mukesh Kumar of Ichak and Randheer Kumar of Bishnugarh in Hazaribag district, and Akhtar Ali, Sunny Kumar, Maheshwar Belmar, Pankaj Kumar, and Gauri Kumar from different places in Bokaro district.
