Royal Family fans make same complaint about Meghan Markle's 'inappropriate' Christmas card
Critics have complained Meghan Markle's "see-through" dress is "inappropriate" for a family Christmas card. Meghan posted a picture on her Instagram wishing everyone, "Happy Holidays! From our family to yours", but the holiday message has been drowned out by criticism surrounding the particular image chosen.
The picture appears to have been taken at Prince Harry and Meghan's home in Montecito, California and shows Meghan holding onto Lilibet's hands while Harry is dearly hugging his son, Archie. Commenting on Meghan's translucent dress, one social media user questioned: "Why is Meghan's dress see-through? Not a good look." Another wrote: "Has she got NOBODY in her circle that could have told her that you can see straight through her dress. I actually feel sorry for the girl."
An X user wrote: "Who puts up a photo of themselves in a see-through dress for their Christmas greeting? That would be Meghan Markle. This photo is sloppy. Ragged. And tasteless."
Another simply commented: "Inappropriate."
In this never-before-seen image, Markle wore a white, sleeveless wrap dress paired with black, pointy-toe slingback flats. Harry and Archie coordinated in blue trousers, while Lilbet wore a tiered blue dress with white knee-high socks and silver Mary Janes.
The four tried to co-ordinate their outfits for their holiday post, which was released a few hours after the Waleses released their own Christmas card.
Since leaving the UK and stepping away from the Royal Family, both Markle and Prince Harry continue to find their footing with a mixture of philanthropic work, and business ventures.
Earlier this year, the Duchess of Sussex released a lifestyle series on Netflix called 'With Love, Meghan,' which received mixed reviews and had Meghan inviting people onto her show to help her "craft".
A few weeks ago, Netflix also released a single-episode special: 'With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration,' which featured Meghan, once again, crafting and entertaining in her home.
