Sarah Beeny opens up on what King Charles is really like behind closed doors

TV presenter Sarah Beeny has opened up about what King Charles is really like behind the scenes, as she attended the premiere of His Majesty's new documentary at Windsor Castle. The monarch hosted a lavish premiere on January 29 ahead of the release of Prime Video's Finding Harmony: A King's Vision.

The documentary was released this Friday, February 6, and outlined the King's philosophy of harmony. During the special viewing of the new project, King Charles was joined by Queen Camilla, the Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, as well as VIP guests and those involved in the documentary.

Some of the A-listers attending the glamorous event were Kate Winslet, Dame Judi Dench, Sir Rod and Lady Stewart, as well as Sir Kenneth Branagh.

Also included were Alan Titchmarsh, Jools Holland, Sarah Beeny, George Clarke and Raymond Blanc, who, along with Kate Winslet and Penny Lancaster, are ambassadors for The King's Foundation.

Ms Beeny spoke about her experience with the King, telling Hello! Magazine: "I don't feel like we get to see him like this usually, to see his personality. He's so funny.

"When I've met him, I've always found him to be just like this; he's such a warm and funny man, and it's not always what you see or what people expect."

Charles has long campaigned for harmony through the work of The King's Foundation charity, which encourages people to see themselves as part of nature and not apart from it.

The documentary charts how the charity, headquartered at Dumfries House in Ayrshire, Scotland, has sparked a global harmony movement.

It shows how the model of a sustainable community, through sustainable textiles and food production, urbanism, community regeneration and traditional skills, which was pioneered at the King's Foundation, has inspired similar projects around the world.

Filming for the documentary began in early 2025 at Dumfries House and continued throughout the year across four continents.

The landmark film is produced by Passion Planet and narrated by Kate Winslet.
