In a quirky twist from Bihar’s Patna, an old State Bank of India ATM kiosk has found a surprising new purpose. The cash machine is gone, but the cabin is now buzzing with customers getting haircuts and shaves.

Located in Danapur, the former ATM has been transformed into a fully functional barber shop. What makes the setup even more amusing is that the original SBI ATM signboard is still in place, leading many to walk in expecting cash, only to find barber chairs, mirrors, and shaving tools instead.

From Cash Withdrawals to Haircuts

A viral video shared by Ghar Ke Kalesh on X, which is circulating widely on social media, shows a barber working inside the small kiosk, trimming customers’ hair exactly where the ATM machine once stood.

Residents say people often enter with debit cards in hand, only to burst into laughter after realizing the “ATM” now dispenses fresh haircuts rather than currency.

The unusual salon has quickly earned a nickname among locals, the “Hair Cutting ATM.”

Social Media Reacts

The quirky transformation has sparked a wave of reactions online.

One user commented, "What's surprising about this... the bank must have removed the ATM facility from there, so the landlord must have made the salon owner pay the rent. Since the ATM board belongs to the relevant bank, it's their responsibility to remove their own board."

Another joked, “Both are something else. SBI too and the new tenant too.”

A third user summed it up with a now-viral line: “In Bihar, anything is possible.”

A Viral Attraction in Danapur

According to local shopkeepers, the former ATM has become a mini tourist attraction. Youngsters frequently stop by to take photos and shoot videos for social media.

The ATM was reportedly operational until recently and was commonly used by nearby residents. After the machine was removed, the space was rented out, but the ATM branding and structure remained untouched.

What was once a place to withdraw cash is now the most talked-about barbershop in town.
