Shocking moment Countryfile's Adam Henson is headbutted to ground on camera
Countryfile viewers were taken aback after watching presenter Adam Henson suffer a painful incident involving sheep on air. Footage posted on the beloved BBC One show's Instagram account showed Adam, 60, attempting to examine his Romney Rams before turning them out into the field with the ewes.
Adam continued: "Let me just bring them back out here... now listen, steady, steady, steady, steady..." when the sheep violently rammed into Adam, throwing him backwards into the metal fencing as he yelled out in pain and swore.
He exclaimed: "Oh! The Romney are powerful sheep... the way to control a sheep is to hold them under the chin, but he got the better of me!"
Taking to the comments section, viewers were shocked to hear Adam let a swear word slip out.
Meanwhile, another user wrote: "I don't think we've heard Adam swear before!"
This comes as Countryfile devotees were delighted when Adam announced some significant news on social media. The 60-year-old farmer joined the cherished BBC show in 2001, and has since established himself as a household name throughout Britain.
His television career extends well beyond Countryfile to include Countryfile Summer Diaries and Inside Out. Utilising his considerable agricultural expertise, Adam has also appeared on BBC Radio 4's On Your Farm and Farming Today, whilst co-presenting Lambing Live alongside Kate Humble.
Away from his Countryfile duties, Adam manages his own farming enterprise from Bemborough Farm in Gloucestershire. The site additionally functions as the Cotswolds Farm Park, welcoming thousands of visitors annually.
The popular presenter posted on Instagram on Sunday (February 1) to reveal some thrilling updates following the birth of 14 piglets at his farm, with his followers immediately voicing their excitement about the announcement.
