South Korean National Stabbed To Death In Noida; Live-In Partner Taken Into Custody
A late-night dispute inside a Noida apartment ended in tragedy after a 47-year-old South Korean man was fatally stabbed, police said. The incident took place at a residential society in Sector 150.
The victim has been identified as Duck Hee Yuh, who was rushed to GIMS Hospital on January 4 but was declared dead on arrival.
Victim Worked With Reputed Mobile Phone Company
Police said Duck Hee Yuh was employed as a branch manager with a reputed mobile phone company. He had been living in Noida with his girlfriend, Lunjeana Pamai, a resident of Manipur, for a considerable period in a live-in relationship.
Argument After Drinking Turned Violent
According to investigators, the couple had been consuming alcohol late into the night when an argument broke out over an undisclosed issue. The verbal disagreement soon escalated into a physical confrontation.
“In a fit of rage during the scuffle, the woman stabbed him in the chest. The wound was deep and he began bleeding heavily," a police officer said.
Accused Took Victim To Hospital
Realising the seriousness of his injuries, the accused rushed Yuh to GIMS Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival. Hospital authorities informed the police early in the morning, following which the investigation began.
Police said, “A South Korean national, Duck Hee Yuh, was brought dead to GIMS Hospital on January 4, 2026. Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was admitted to the hospital by Lunjeana Pamai, a resident of Thangal, Manipur. During the investigation, police found that the accused woman had allegedly stabbed him to death with a knife. The two had been living together in a live-in relationship for a considerable period. A case has been registered at the Knowledge Park Police Station, and the accused woman has been arrested."
Troubled Relationship Under Scanner
Officials investigating the case said the relationship was reportedly strained, with frequent disputes between the couple. Police claimed that the South Korean national allegedly consumed alcohol heavily and often assaulted the woman, leading to repeated arguments.
During questioning, the accused told police that she did not intend to kill him and that the stabbing occurred during the altercation. Officers said her statement is being verified as part of the ongoing probe.
