'Stylish' bamboo garden furniture set is cheaper at Debenhams than Amazon and under £130

Spring officially begins this month, and I don't know about you, but it always gets me thinking about those first properly warm days outside. The kind where you can finally sit in the garden and feel the sun on your face. As the days slowly get brighter, plenty of people will start turning their attention to getting their outdoor spaces ready, which is exactly why now can be a good time to think about garden furniture.

Just because peak garden season hasn't quite landed yet doesn't mean the deals aren't already out there. As a shopping editor, I'm always keeping an eye on the latest launches and sales, and right now, there are a few retailers discounting garden furniture ahead of the warmer months.

If you're into the laid-back, boho look (think rattan and bamboo textures and neutral tones), there's a lovely four-piece set currently discounted on Amazon as part of its spring sale. But while doing a bit of digging, I realised you can actually get it slightly cheaper elsewhere.

On Amazon, the NEO wicker furniture set has been reduced from £186.94 to £129.98. However, over on Debenhams it's listed for £129. Yes, it's only a saving of 98p - but technically, it's still cheaper. The other thing to note is that Amazon's sale ends tonight, and as the table is listed as one of their spring deals, there's a good chance the table could go back up in price when the event ends.

That said, both prices represent good value for a four-piece set that comes in at under £150. Similar styles elsewhere tend to cost quite a bit more. Habitat, for example, has a similar set - also including a small sofa, two chairs and a table - priced at £200. That makes the NEO set (whether you pick it up from Amazon or Debenhams) about £70 less for a very similar look.

Bamboo and rattan furniture has been popular for a while now, and in 2026, it's very much a garden trend. The natural look works well in outdoor spaces, while the materials often lean towards more eco-friendly options. It's also the kind of style that fits easily into most spaces without feeling too heavy or overpowering. And because of the design, it can work just as well indoors, in a conservatory or porch, as it does outside.

Shoppers have already been quick to praise the NEO set, with some describing it as "very stylish" and "beautiful".

One shopper said: "Very stylish. Love it very much. I would recommend it." Another added: "Love my new bamboo set. I have it in my conservatory, looks beautiful. Best price around as well."

The set includes a two-seater sofa and two armchairs, making it a cosy spot for a couple to relax. Each piece has a handwoven rattan-effect frame in a warm bamboo tone, paired with cushions available in either beige or grey. The cushions are suitable for outdoor use and can be washed in a washing machine. However, during the winter months, or when the furniture isn't going to be in use for a while, it's best to store them inside or in a shed to keep them in good condition.

Alongside the seating, there's also a matching table with a bamboo-effect frame and a 5mm tempered glass top. The chairs and table all sit on black powder-coated steel legs, complete with adjustable feet that are designed to help level them out on uneven ground.

"Arrived quickly and is very sturdy and very good quality for the price," said one review.

However, there is one thing worth knowing before you click buy. The furniture arrives flat-packed and, according to some reviewers, putting it together can be a bit of a challenge, so it's definitely not a one-person job.

One reviewer said: "The only issue is that it took 2 of us 2 hours to assemble as it's so difficult to get the screws in because of the thickness of the rattan."

Another person added: "The furniture itself is decent. It is fiddly putting together, the instructions are too small, and the important part of it needs to be more specific. Assembly can be quite tough on some parts. Although I'm capable, I had to rely on someone else's brute strength to assemble the parts where the arm meets the back."

So it's probably wise to rope in a helping hand when building this one. Still, judging by the reviews, most shoppers seem to agree that once it's up, it offers very good value for the price.
