Teacher arrested for sexually assaulting girl student near Krishnagiri
KRISHNAGIRI: A govt school teacher was arrested in Krishnagiri district on Tuesday on charges of sexually assaulting a Class IV student.
The sexual assault took place during school hours on Feb 27. The girl, aged 9 years, told her parents about it, and they filed a complaint with the Anchetty police.
Based on the complaint, police investigated and confirmed that the teacher, identified as N Sudhakaran, 50, had sexually assaulted the student.
The Denkanikottai all women's police registered a case against Sudhakaran under sections of the POCSO Act and arrested him. He was remanded in judicial custody.
