Teddington School incident: One person dead as emergency services issue major update

Teddington School in South-west London was abruptly shut down this morning, with a significant police and ambulance presence reported on the scene. Pupils were dismissed from the school just before 9am, leaving parents anxiously awaiting information regarding the sudden closure. The school has yet to disclose details about the incident. Emergency services have now confirmed one person has died at the school.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 7.17am today to reports of an unwell person in Broom Road, Teddington. We sent an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer to the scene. Despite the efforts to save his life, a patient sadly died at the scene."
