TGJones could close 100 shops in UK - urgent update for customers

TGJones could close up to 100 of its shops and the company undergo a restructuring, reports suggest. The rebranded High Street arm of WH Smith may see closures under a plan from its new owner, Modella Capital.

Modella is reported to be working with advisers at the advisory firm, Teneo, and the law firm, Slaughter and May, on a restructuring plan. It would leave 400 TGJones branches open as long as landlords agree to renegotiate rent deals, according to The Times.
