The Big Quiz fans sent into meltdown as 'insane' Corriedale trailer finally drops

During this year's instalment of The Big Quiz: Coronation Street v Emmerdale, host Stephen Mulhern revealed a sneak peek of the highly anticipated episode of Corriedale, which will air on January 5 on ITV. Fans could not wait to see the teaser trailer on the programme, and neither could Stephen, who paused the programme to show a short clip of all the major drama set to unfold in the special episode. He told ITV viewers: "We've been talking about it all night, it's time for our exclusive clip of Corriedale." He added: "No one else has seen this, fasten your seatbelts because this is going to be epic..." A dark and sinister clip, which only lasted a few seconds, was then shown to ITV viewers who branded it "insane".

Within the clip, a vehicle was turned on its side and on fire, and viewers learned that at least one person had been 'critically injured'. Stephen added: "This looks epic, I cannot wait."

Fans have been flocking to Twitter to comment on the never-before-seen trailer as it aired during the quiz show, with one writing: "That clip of Corriedale looks so good!"

A second remarked: "The wait is OVERRRRRRR! #CorrieDale trailer here we go!" A third penned: "I am SO excited for Corriedale."

Meanwhile, a fourth said: "'A frantic Carla Connor can be seen trying to calm someone down' Oh, this is going to be insane... #Corriedale."

Another added: "ROBERT SHOUTING FOR AARON THIS WILL BE SO F**KING INTENSE."

The stars were not allowed to give anything away about the crossover episode, which has been in the works for months, but they all looked very excited about it airing in the New Year.

When it was time to get back to the quiz, the Emmerdale stars were in the lead by just one point before they were crowned the 2025 winners.

They also beat Coronation Street last year during a tense few rounds hosted by former Coronation Street actress Sally Lindsay.
