Three injured as car, goods tempo collide near Nellikaru

Moodubidire: Three persons were injured after a car and a goods tempo collided head-on near Nellikaru on the Nellikaru–Karkala main road on Monday morning, police said.

The accident occurred when a goods tempo heading towards Hosmaru and a car coming from the opposite direction crashed into each other. The injured were identified as tempo driver Krishnaraj, car driver Lalithesh Gowda, and a boy named Praveen.

Both vehicles were damaged in the collision. A family was travelling in the goods tempo to shift household items after vacating a house from the Karkala side.

The injured were admitted to a hospital in Udupi for treatment. Further details are awaited.
