Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner 'flee Oscars' mid-ceremony after Best Actor snub
Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner were noticeably absent for large chunks of the Oscars - fuelling speculation the couple quietly slipped out of the ceremony after a brutal night for the star. Insiders claim the pair vanished from their prime seats for most of the broadcast before returning later in the evening, prompting whispers inside the Dolby Theatre that the Oscars snub and persistent jokes had stung more than they let on. An eyewitness told Express.co.uk the Hollywood couple left far earlier than viewers realised. "Timothée and Kylie disappeared during the Best Animated Short category and didn't come back for ages. It was a huge gap - basically most of the show."
The source added that their absence did not go unnoticed by those seated nearby. "Seat fillers were put in their places almost immediately. One guy I know ended up sitting next to Gwyneth Paltrow in Timothée's seat for most of the night, which says everything about how long they were gone." According to the insider, their empty chairs sparked chatter throughout the theatre. "People kept looking over expecting them to come back, but they just didn't. It definitely raised eyebrows because nominees usually stay put."
