A dealership praised by customers for its "five-star service" and "hassle-free" experience is facing a legal battle for survival after an industry creditor issued a winding-up petition. RA Motors (Bolton) Limited, a used car dealer based on Rossini Street in Bolton, has been served with a winding-up petition, signalling a potential end for the firm despite overwhelming praise from its customer base. According to official public records in The Gazette, the petition was presented on March 4 by Motorway Online Limited, a leading UK platform used by dealers to source used car stock.

A winding-up petition is a serious legal action filed in court by a creditor owed £750 or more, asking to close down (liquidate) a company that cannot pay its debts. It indicates that Motorway Online Limited is claiming an unpaid debt and is seeking a High Court order to forcibly close the company to recover funds.

If granted, the petition would see RA Motors (Bolton) Limited wound up under the Insolvency Act 1986, meaning its assets could be sold off to repay creditors.

The case is set to be heard at the Business and Property Courts in Manchester on May 12.

On Google, the company description reads: "Our family run business has over 20 years experience within the used car industry. We have an enviable reputation for supplying high quality used vehicles for sale nationally.

"All of our vehicles are rigorously CHECKED AND prepared to the highest standards and are available to view at your leisure in our prestigious showroom. You are welcome to come and visit us at and browse our extensive stock, were we can give advice and guidance on all aspects of purchasing a used vehicle."

The car dealer's website is currently returning a 504 Gateway Timeout error, meaning it is temporarily inaccessible. Despite this, the business is still operating, with its Google profile indicating that the dealership is open and continuing to trade.

The company has several five-star ratings.

One customer wrote in a Google Review: "Had a test drive on a Audi A3 without any hassle or pushiness from the salesman . Ended up buying the car which is exceptionally good."

Another added: "RA motors gave me a great price for my car compared with other local dealers. Very satisfied with the deal.

Someone else wrote: "Just picked my car up from Adeel and it's absolutely amazing. Five star service and no problem too big for them to deal with. Even got a few hundred pounds more for my part exchange. Highly recommended."
