UP bizman murdered over loan refusal; neighbour and 3 aides arrested
ALIGARH: A city based businessman whose body was recovered from an under-construction house on the outskirts of UP's Aligarh earlier this week, was allegedly killed by his neighbour after he refused to give him a loan, police said on Thursday.
The accused identified as Kanhaiya, along with three associates Pramod, Nanda and Ajai has been arrested.
All three men were allegedly hired to carry out the murder.
The victim identified as Narottam Singh , who owned a petrol pump, went missing on Monday afternoon. Later, his body was found in an under-construction house in a nearby village.
Police found that the victim was last seen leaving on a two-wheeler with his neighbour Kanhaiya. Based on suspicion, a search operation was launched and the accused was arrested on Wednesday evening.
During questioning, the accused Kanhaiya allegedly admitted to the crime and told police that he had been asking the victim for a loan to build his house, but Narottam Singh had repeatedly refused, which led to anger.
"Angered over the refusal, the accused hatched a conspiracy and, with the help of his associates, carried out the murder," a police officer said.
