Tess Daly's husband Vernon Kay has unveiled one of his "side hustles" after Tess quit her role as host of Strictly Come Dancing alongside Claudia Winkleman. While Claudia is busy with the new series of The Traitors - as well as landing her own BBC chat show - Tess has remained silent on the work-front. Vernon, however, isn't quite as shy.

Along with earning a reported £395,000 per year for hosting his Radio 2 morning show on the BBC, Vernon is now flogging caravan holidays to fans on Instagram. Taking to the social media platform, Vernon was plugging family breaks at Parkdean Resorts for £99 a go as he danced around the Trecco Bay resort in South Wales.

According to The Mirror, it looks to be an ongoing sponsorship deal, with Parkdean captioning the post: "We're already looking forward to welcoming Vernon back in 2026 to check out Highfield Grange and Vauxhall Holiday Park - epic things are coming."

In recent weeks, Vernon has been upping the ante when it comes to his social media advertising - partnering with brands like Marks and Spencer, LEGO and Wellman.

Tess was reported to be earning around £150,000 per series for her Strictly presenting role, though her exact salary has never been published.

It comes after the news that her former co-host Claudia is set to be paid a "fortune" for her new chat show.

A source told the Daily Mail: "It's a lot of cash.

People are always circling around Claudia and she would never sign a deal that would tie her to one network.

"But this does mean that there will be little time, or need, for her to do anything with ITV. The BBC share her with Channel 4, which they are fine with - but ITV is a different ball game."

The source added that the show will be "all frills, all the bells and whistles", as "cash will be thrown" at Claudia, insisting the programme could even air in the US and feature Hollywood A-listers.
