Viral Video: Odisha Tribal Man Protests With Sister’s Skeleton to Recover Rs 19,300
In a startling incident from Mallipasi village under Odisha’s Patna police station, a tribal man arrived at a rural bank carrying his deceased sister’s skeleton in an attempt to recover her savings.
Jitu Munda, an illiterate resident of the village, reportedly unearthed his sister’s remains after bank officials refused to release around Rs 19,300 deposited in her account following her death two months ago.
Unable to understand the bank’s request for a death certificate and legal documents, Jitu took the demand literally. He exhumed his sister’s burial site, collected her bones in a sack, and presented them at the bank as proof of her death.
"When the bank official could not gave his sister's deposit money he has brought the skeleton to show them as proof that she has dead" said Jitu Munda.
The shocking sight left bank staff terrified, prompting them to alert local police immediately. Villagers also gathered at the scene after news of the unusual protest spread.
