Virgin Media is dishing out £300 gift cards - how to claim yours

Newspoint

If you're looking to upgrade your home broadband, TV and mobile packages in one fell swoop, there's currently a deal from Virgin Media that will also net you hundreds of pounds off your next holiday. The service provider is handing out £300 Trip.com gift cards to any new customer that takes out a Max Volt bundle until May 13.

The Max Volt bundle gets you very speedy Gig1 fibre broadband with speeds of 1,130 Mbps, plus Virgin's Stream TV box with more than 230 channels with Netflix, as well as an unlimited O2 SIM card. That's a big tech upgrade, which can be yours for £78.99 per month with no set-up fee on a 24 month contract.

That's a decent chunk to commit to parting with each month, but if your internet is lagging, your TV choices are limited and you don't have unlimited mobile data, it could present a solid three-way tech upgrade for a price similar to or cheaper than what you are currently paying for all three services.

1,130 Mbps is incredibly fast for broadband. For context, a 100 Mbps connection is more than enough for a couple of people to work from home and comfortably stream Netflix in the evening, so going for a service that is ten times faster is best if you have a large household with lots of people using multiple devices. Online gamers will also appreciate this substantial speed upgrade.

The TV package comes with all standard Sky channels as well as Sky Atlantic, Sky Cinema HD and Sky Sports HD - so you really are getting all the best Sky entertainment options. Netflix Standard with Ads is also included, so you can cancel your current Netflix subscription as it's all bundled together here.

The O2 SIM you'll get is O2's Classic Plan SIM, which offers unlimited 5G data, minutes and texts, so you'll never have to worry about mobile data when you're out and about not connected to Wi-Fi. This SIM also lets you roam free at no extra cost to 75 destinations abroad, so you're unlikely to need to worry about your phone plan when you go on holiday.

Speaking of holidays, Virgin Media will set you up nicely for your next one if you go for the Max Volt plan, as you'll also receive a free £300 Trip.com gift card, which can be put towards the cost of "flights, hotels or flight and hotel bundles", according to Virgin.

Remember, you have until May 13 to take advantage of this deal. Also note that the price of the Max Volt contract will rise in April 2027 and April 2028 - and you'll want to check the terms and conditions to see how much the cost will be after the initial 24 month contract ends.
