The video reveals a man sitting near the store entrance as vehicles pass by on the road. Underneath a pile of cartons, an explosion suddenly erupts, destroying two parked scooters instantly. A woman suffered severe injuries, with her clothes catching fire and her body partially burnt. Eyewitnesses quickly covered her with a sheet and rushed her to a nearby hospital.

In total, eight individuals sustained injuries. Two have already been discharged, four are receiving treatment at a local hospital, and the two most critically injured were transferred to the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow. The incident reportedly occurred around 6:50 pm, according to the CCTV timestamp.

Police suspect the blast was caused by illegal firecrackers stored inside the shop. Following the explosion, authorities conducted extensive raids overnight, seizing large quantities of illegally stored firecrackers from more than a dozen shops. Around 20 people have been detained in connection with the incident.

The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrived at the scene late at night and carried out a thorough search operation to ensure no further explosive materials were hidden in the area. Police continue to investigate the exact cause of the blast and are verifying whether negligence or deliberate mishandling of firecrackers contributed to the incident.

The explosion has raised concerns about the illegal storage and sale of firecrackers in crowded markets, especially with Diwali approaching. Local authorities have promised stricter enforcement of safety regulations and tighter monitoring of shops selling fireworks to prevent similar accidents in the future.
