Woman Passenger Trapped in Train Toilet After 40 Men Storm Sleeper Coach in Bihar - Watch
A solo woman passenger had a terrifying ordeal aboard the Janki Express at Katihar Junction in Bihar when 30–40 men allegedly stormed her reserved sleeper coach, leaving her too scared to step out of the toilet.
The incident occurred on Wednesday on the Jaynagar–Manihari (15284) train, which operates under the Northeast Frontier Railway zone. The woman, who had a confirmed reservation, was seated on her allotted berth when the crowd suddenly entered the coach illegally at Katihar Junction.
Feeling unsafe, she rushed into the toilet and locked the door behind her, recording a video to document the situation. She also sent an SOS message to the railway helpline, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
On social media, she wrote, “I was in the washroom and couldn’t even step out people were packed at the door. I closed it again, called Railway Helpline (139), and thankfully the RPF arrived. They cleared the way and helped me get back to my seat safely.”
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) responded promptly, ensuring her safe return to her berth. Following the incident, officials have announced increased vigilance on platforms and aboard trains to prevent such incidents and protect passengers, especially women traveling alone.
This incident has reignited concerns over passenger safety on trains, emphasizing the need for stricter monitoring and swift action to ensure that everyone can travel without fear.
