Woman's burnt body found in Kannauj

Kanpur: A severely burnt body of a woman was found near village Nigoh in Kannauj on Wednesday morning. Some passers by spotted the body and informed the police. Inspector Kotwali Vishnukant Tiwari reached the scene with a police force and initaited investigation.

The woman's entire body was burnt, leaving her legs. One of her slippers were found at the spot.

Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar, and circle officer Tirwa Kulveer Singh said that four teams were formed for identification of the woman and solving the case.

Information about missing women was gathered from the district and neighbouring districts. CCTV footage from nearby areas was examined.
