Candidate's photograph and signature

If you are appearing for the DSSSB exam, keep these 5 important rules in mind before downloading your admit card:

1. Strict adherence to the dress code

DSSSB is very strict about the dress code in its examinations. According to the board's rules, candidates should wear half-sleeved clothes. Clothes with large buttons, brooches, or flowers are not allowed. Also, it is safer to wear slippers or sandals instead of shoes, as shoes are often required to be removed outside the center.

2. Reporting time and 'gate closing' rule

Do not take the reporting time given on the admit card lightly. At DSSSB examination centers, even a second's delay after the gate closing time is not tolerated. Considering the Delhi traffic and fog in February-March, plan to reach the center at least 1 hour in advance.

3. Mandatory photograph with the 'e-admit card.'
Carrying only the admit card is not enough. You will need to carry two passport-sized photographs (the same ones uploaded in the application form) and one original photo identity card (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, etc.) along with the admit card. Photocopies of the identity card will not be accepted. So, carry the original ID.

4. Electronic gadgets and prohibited items

Even pens are not allowed in the examination hall; the board itself provides pens. Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, belts, wallets, and even religious threads or jewelry (earrings, rings) may be prohibited. Leave these items at home or make arrangements to deposit them somewhere.

5. Signature and Thumb Impression on the Admit Card
The most important rule: Do not sign or put your thumb impression on the admit card beforehand at home. This process must be done in the presence of the invigilator in the examination hall. If you sign it beforehand, your admit card may be declared invalid.
