Traditionally, the CBSE used to announce Class 10 and 12 results together in May, but the revised structure has enabled an earlier declaration.

Exams Held in February–March

The Class 10 first session examinations were conducted from February 17 to March 11, 2026, in a single shift starting at 10:30 AM. Major subjects, including mathematics standard, were held during the initial phase of the schedule.

Where and How to Check Results

Students can access their results through the official CBSE website:

Visit the official website: results.cbse.nic.in

Click on “CBSE Class 10 Result 2026”

Enter roll number and date of birth

View and download the scorecard

In addition to the website, results are also available on digital platforms like DigiLocker and UMANG, ensuring smoother access amid heavy traffic.

Second Exam Option Under New System

One of the key highlights of this year is the flexibility introduced through the two-board system.

Students who are not satisfied with their performance can opt for a second examination scheduled from May 15 to June 1, 2026.

Students can improve scores in up to three subjects

Those failing in two subjects will be placed in the compartment category

Students failing or absent in three or more subjects will need to reappear in 2027

The syllabus for the second session will remain unchanged.

A Major Academic Shift

The early declaration of results reflects CBSE’s move towards a more flexible and student-friendly evaluation system.

The dual-exam format is aimed at reducing pressure and giving students a fair chance to improve performance within the same academic year.
