The 10th Annual Convocation Ceremony of IIM Sambalpur, located in Odisha, was held on Saturday with great enthusiasm and dignity. This cohort included 314 students from the MBA (2024-26) program, 39 from the Executive MBA (2023-25) program, 36 from the Executive MBA (2024-26) program, 17 from the Executive MBA for Working Professionals (2024-26) program, and 10 PhD scholars. A distinctive feature of this batch was that 76 percent of the students were women, reflecting the growing gender equality within the institute.

On this special occasion, the Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, was present as the Chief Guest. Additionally, Prativa Mohapatra, Vice President and Managing Director of Adobe India, graced the event as the Guest of Honour. Also in attendance were Professor Chandan Chowdhury, Chairperson-in-charge of the institute's Board of Governors, and Director Professor Mahadeo Prasad Jaiswal.
**Gold Medals Awarded to Meritorious Students**
Students who demonstrated outstanding performance were felicitated during the convocation ceremony. Srijan Chakraborty, Varsha Samir Meher, Priyanka Rath, and Alvin Francis were awarded the Chairman's Gold Medal. Meanwhile, Chirag Kundra, SK Aftabuddin Mohammed, Rajkishore Kar, and Alok Shukla were honored with the Director's Gold Medal. Manya Singh was awarded the IIM Sambalpur Gold Medal for the best all-around performance.

Congratulating the students, Director Professor Mahadeo Jaiswal highlighted that the year 2025-26 marked a period of progress and innovation for the institute. IIM Sambalpur has made a remarkable leap of 16 places in the NIRF Rankings 2025. Furthermore, the institute is gaining global recognition for its AI-based teaching methodology.

Addressing the students, Distinguished Guest Pratibha Mohapatra noted that today's world is changing rapidly. Moving beyond the VUCA framework to reference the emerging BANI environment, she advised the students to remain resilient, perceptive, and prepared. She also lauded the institute's modern campus and its various innovations.
