Madhyamik 2026 results on May 8, WBBSE confirms amid election activity
West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2026 : The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has confirmed the release date for the Madhyamik Pariksha 2026 results . The Class 10 examination outcomes will be declared on May 8, 2026, ending uncertainty among students awaiting their scores.
Those who appeared for the secondary examination would get the opportunity to download their mark sheets from the website, wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.wb.gov.in. The notice ends confusion that may have arisen in anticipation of any delay caused due to the election schedule of the state.

Examination organized in February
The Madhyamik examination was carried out through pen-and-paper tests within a ten-day period starting from February 2 to February 12. These examinations took place across several centers within the jurisdiction of West Bengal under the board supervision.
In all, there were 9,71,340 students who appeared for the 2026 examinations. These included 4,26,733 male candidates, 5,44,606 female students, and one transgender student.
Process to view results online
In order to view their marksheets, students will have to visit the portal mentioned above once the link is activated. The candidates will have to click on the link marked ‘West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2026’ which appears at wbbse.wb.gov.in.
The students will have to provide their roll numbers and dates of births in the respective fields provided in the login screen. Following that, the candidates will have to verify the CAPTCHA code that appears on the screen and then submit their login credentials to view the marksheets. These scorecards can be downloaded and stored for future use.
Elections calendar created interest
This year’s marksheets were of interest due to the upcoming elections in West Bengal. Elections will be held in two rounds on April 23 and April 29 while the voting process will be completed by May 4.
