National conference on research and innovation held at Ajeenkya DY Patil University
PUNE: A two-day national conference on “Advanced Research and Innovation” concluded at Ajeenkya DY Patil University , drawing participation from academicians and researchers across the country.
The conference, titled “Utkarsh”, was organised by the Dr DY Patil School of Management in collaboration with Savitribai Phule Pune University. It was held under the guidance of university president Ajeenkya DY Patil and director Eknath B Khedkar.

Speaking at the inauguration, SPPU Pro-Vice Chancellor Parag Kalkar highlighted the importance of research in the digital age. He said research must focus on practical applications and real-world impact rather than remaining limited to theory. “Data-driven insights, digital tools and field validation are essential to address social, industrial and technological challenges,” he said.
Pro-Vice Chancellor of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Valmik Sarwade, stressed the need for strong collaboration between universities and industries. He said such partnerships help students gain industry-relevant skills and improve employment opportunities.
Welcoming the participants, Eknath Khedkar underlined the growing importance of innovation-driven research. He said rapid technological changes are transforming various sectors and researchers must adopt creative and forward-thinking approaches to address emerging challenges.
Several academicians from universities across India and abroad participated in the conference and shared their insights. A total of 48 research papers were presented by researchers during the event.
The conference was coordinated by Ganesh Lande, Ashutosh Khedkar, Sumit Bankar and Chetan Sarwade, among others. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ganesh Lande.
