The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the RRB JE CBT 1 Answer Key 2026 on March 5, 2026 for the Computer-Based Test held on February 19, 20, and 25, 2026 under CEN 05/2025. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now access their response sheets and the provisional answer key through the official RRB portals. This allows them to verify their answers and estimate their likely scores.

Along with the answer key, the board has also released the question papers and individual response sheets. These documents enable candidates to compare their responses with the officially provided answers. The recruitment drive aims to fill 2,585 vacancies for posts such as Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical Supervisor, and Metallurgical Assistant.

Lakhs of aspirants appeared for the CBT 1 examination. With the release of the provisional answer key, candidates now have the opportunity to evaluate their performance and estimate whether they may qualify for the next stage.

Objection Window Open
RRB has opened an objection window from March 5 to March 11, 2026 (till 11:59 pm). Candidates who believe any answer in the provisional key is incorrect can raise objections by paying a fee of ?50 per question. If the challenge is found valid after review, the fee will be refunded. Payments for objections must be made through online payment methods.

How to Download the Answer Key
Candidates can download the RRB JE CBT 1 Answer Key 2026 from the official website of their respective regional RRB. To access the documents, candidates must log in using their Registration Number along with Password or Date of Birth. After logging in, they can view and download both the answer key and their response sheet.

Marking Scheme
The RRB JE CBT 1 exam carries a total of 100 marks. Candidates receive 1 mark for each correct answer, while one-third mark is deducted for every incorrect response.

Formula to estimate score:
Tentative Score = (Correct Answers × 1) – (Incorrect Answers × 1/3)

Minimum Qualifying Marks
The category-wise qualifying marks are:

UR: 40%
EWS: 40%
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 30%
SC: 30%
ST: 25%

After reviewing the objections, RRB will publish the final answer key, followed by the CBT 1 result, scorecards, and cut-off marks.

Candidates who clear CBT 1 will move to the CBT 2 stage. The remaining selection process includes CBT 2, document verification, and a medical examination. The schedule for CBT 2 will be announced later by the board.
