RRB JE CEN 05/2025 CBT-I exam dates OUT, check official February and March 2026 schedule here
The Railway Recruitment Board has released the official schedule for the first stage Computer Based Test CBT-I under CEN 05/2025, confirming examination dates for Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant posts across various Railway Recruitment Boards.
The Ministry of Railways notification, Government of India, said that "CBT-I shall be conducted for 2,570 notified vacancies in multiple sessions across multiple days in February and March 2026".
Official Examination Schedule and Important Information
According to the notification, candidates registered under CEN 05/2025 will appear for the first stage CBT on February 19, 2026, February 20, 2026, and March 3, 2026. The examination will cover recruitment for Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant positions.
Exam city intimation and admit card schedule
The Railway Recruitment Boards have confirmed that the link for viewing exam city, exam date and downloading the travel authority for SC/ST candidates will be activated ten days before the respective examination date on official RRB websites. E-call letters will be available for download four days before the exam date mentioned in the city intimation link.
Aadhaar verification and entry requirements
As part of examination day procedures, Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication will be carried out at the examination centre prior to entry into the examination hall. Candidates must bring their original Aadhaar card or a printout of e-verified Aadhaar for identity verification purposes.
The boards have advised candidates, including those who completed Aadhaar verification during application submission, to ensure that their Aadhaar remains unlocked in the UIDAI system before arriving at the examination centre to avoid inconvenience during registration and examination-related processes on the test day.
The applications timetable for applying to the program
The recruitment notification for RRB JE posts, RRB JE Recruitment CEN 05/2025, has been released on September 29, 2025, and candidates have been asked to apply online for these posts from October 31, 2025, to December 10, 2025, for a total number of 2,570 vacancies for the posts that offer a basic compensation of Rs. 35,400 per month, as per level-6 salaries.
The candidates have been advised to follow the official RRB websites for any kind of updates instead of relying on unauthorized ones or misleading information related to recruitment.
