Two Indians dead, one missing amid Iran–Israel tensions, says MEA

Two Indians have died and one remains missing after merchant vessels they were on came under attack amid the ongoing conflict in the region, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Wednesday.
The government also confirmed injuries to Indian citizens in Israel and Dubai.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed the casualties while speaking about the situation involving Indian nationals in the conflict zone.

“Two Indian nationals we lost, one remains missing,” Jaiswal said.

He said the deaths and the missing case occurred when the individuals were working on merchant vessels that came under attack.

The MEA also said one Indian national was injured in Israel and has been admitted to a hospital where he is receiving treatment.

Another Indian was injured in Dubai. The Indian consulate is in contact with the individual and is monitoring his condition.

The ministry said it continues to remain in touch with Indian missions and authorities in the region to assist affected citizens and monitor the situation involving Indian nationals.
