UP Board Exam 2026: Students Still Face 30 km Commute Despite Three Revisions
In a major inconvenience for students, UP Board exam centers in Agra district have been assigned 30 km away, despite multiple revisions and objections. Parents and schools are now demanding a change in the examination center to reduce the travel burden.

The final list of exam centers for all 75 districts was released on 30th December 2025.

Agra has been allotted 154 exam centers, but objections were raised regarding the distance for some students, especially from Rajendra Singh Inter College in Rampura, Garhi Harlal.

High school students and intermediate girls were assigned Shri Nathi Lal Inter College in Saiya, Shyaramau.

Intermediate boys were assigned SMT HD Inter College in Shamshabad, Garhi Baldev.
Second Revision:

All students were moved to Shri Nathi Lal Inter College in Shamshabad, Garhi Jehan, approximately 8 km away, which was more convenient and within UP Board norms.
Final List:

Surprisingly, the center was changed again to Shri Ishwar Maharaj Inter College, Nagla Teja, Saiya, which is now about 30 km away from the students’ schools.

School authorities say the second revision center was much more practical and aligned with UP Board standards.

Despite repeated objections from parents and school management, the final allocation remains 30 km away, forcing students to travel long distances on exam days.

The district education officer, Chandra Shekhar, mentioned that center allocation is based on geo-location distance calculations, but concerns have been forwarded to the UP Board for review.
