Aamir Khan Opens Up About Girlfriend Gauri, Says He Is 'Already Married'

When asked about the development, Aamir acknowledged the timing with his usual honesty, pointing out how hectic life currently feels. With his production Happy Patel set for release, he admitted that personal and professional milestones seem to be unfolding simultaneously. “This is happening right in the middle of my production Happy Patel being released. So, it’s madness,” he told the entertainment portal.

While the move has naturally sparked speculation about wedding plans, Aamir was quick to clarify that marriage is not on the immediate agenda. What he did emphasise, however, was the depth and seriousness of his relationship with Gauri. “Gauri and I are really serious about each other and we are in a very committed space. And we are, you know, we are partners. We are together. Marriage is something, I mean, in my heart, I’m already married to her. So whether we formalise it or not is something that, you know, I will decide as we go along,” Aamir said, making it clear that emotional certainty matters more to him than formal labels.

Aamir first confirmed his relationship with Gauri Spratt on his 60th birthday last year, surprising fans by introducing her during a private interaction with the media in Mumbai. He revealed that they had known each other for nearly 25 years before reconnecting about a year and a half ago. According to him, their relationship wasn’t planned or rushed. “We met accidentally, kept in touch, and it all happened organically,” he shared at the time.

Gauri, who is a mother to a six-year-old son, has also spoken about what drew her to Aamir. She mentioned looking for someone gentle and intelligent qualities she believes define him. Over time, their relationship has also extended into the professional space, with Gauri now working with Aamir Khan Productions, marking a comfortable overlap of personal and work lives.
