Badshah on Luxury Life: Still Checks Price Tags, Hides Costly Watch Prices From Parents

Badshah may be one of India’s most successful rappers today, but some habits from his middle-class upbringing remain firmly intact. Known for his impressive collection of luxury watches, high-end cars, and designer shoes, the rapper recently shared that he still checks price tags before making any purchase, no matter how expensive.

In a recent interview with Curly Tales, Badshah spoke candidly about his fondness for luxury. He revealed that each watch in his collection costs over ₹5 crore, adding to his already extravagant lifestyle that includes a ₹12-crore Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which he admitted buying on impulse.

Despite the scale of his wealth, Badshah said he consciously avoids sharing the actual cost of his luxury purchases with his parents. “I never tell my parents how much my watches cost. I don’t think they will even believe that a watch can cost this much,” he said, reflecting on his family’s grounded values.

The rapper, who once worked a 9-to-5 job before making it big in the music industry, also addressed perceptions of materialism. He said that while he enjoys good clothes, cars, shoes, and watches, he values relationships far more than material possessions. According to him, loving luxury does not diminish the importance of human connections.

On the professional front, Badshah is gearing up for a major milestone. He is set to become the first Indian rapper to perform at The O2 Arena in London on March 22. Produced and promoted by TCO Group in partnership with TM Ventures and Rock On Music, the concert marks a significant moment for desi hip hop on the global stage.

Calling the event a long-cherished dream, Badshah said the London show would be a declaration of Indian hip hop’s growing global presence, promising a night that fans would remember forever.
