Sunny Deol’s ‘Border 2’ Ends Strong Third Week; ₹317 Crore India Collection After Day 22

Bollywood’s Border 2 - featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty - has rounded off its three-week run in cinemas, reaching an impressive ₹434.1 crore worldwide in total earnings as of its 22nd day at the box office.

Released on January 23, 2026, Border 2 began its theatrical life with strong opening figures and leveraged the Republic Day holiday to pull in significant crowds. But as new films hit screens and audience attention shifted, the film’s daily collections began to taper.

On Day 21 (third Thursday), Border 2 continued to earn modestly, bringing in approximately ₹1.75 crore domestically. This took its India net total to around ₹317.75 crore by mid-February.

By Day 22 (fourth Friday), however, the pace slowed sharply, with reports indicating a further drop in daily earnings as the film’s theatrical lifespan began winding down. Despite the slowdown, the overall business remained strong enough to secure Border 2 a place among the top grossing Indian films of the early 2026 box office season.

Across its run so far, Border 2 has delivered robust performances in its opening week, sustained reasonable figures in the second, and gradually eased off toward the end of its third - a trajectory common to many big-budget films facing stiff competition from fresh releases.

Directed by Anurag Singh, the movie’s patriotic theme, ensemble cast and holiday launch helped it resonate with a broad spectrum of moviegoers. As Border 2 completes its traditional theatrical cycle, industry watchers are now keen to track its performance on streaming platforms and other ancillary markets.
