Directed by the visionary Aditya Dhar, the film has achieved what many thought impossible, displacing the titans of 2023 and 2024 within just three weeks. Dhurandhar box office collection is now firmly set on a path to cross the ₹700 crore domestic mark, with trade analysts predicting it could even challenge Pushpa 2: The Rule for the ultimate crown of the highest-earning Hindi-language film in the country.

Dethroning the Giants: A Comparison

Dhurandhar commenced its fourth week with a robust haul of over ₹15 crore on Friday. This late-run momentum has allowed the Ranveer Singh movie records to grow past several iconic blockbusters. Before toppling Jawan (₹640 crore), the spy saga had already surged past Vicky Kaushal’s historical epic Chhaava (₹601 crore) and the horror-comedy hit Stree 2 (₹598 crore).

The highest grossing Bollywood film India list has seen a dramatic shake-up this year. While Aamir Khan’s Dangal held the top spot for seven years with ₹387 crore, the recent "500 Crore Club" has become the new benchmark for success.

Bollywood’s Elite ₹500 Crore Club

Only a handful of Hindi-original films have breached this rarefied air. Here is how the top ten currently stand:

FilmNet Domestic Collection
Dhurandhar₹648 crore
Jawan₹640 crore
Chhaava₹601 crore
Stree 2₹598 crore
Animal₹553 crore
Pathaan₹543 crore
Gadar 2₹525 crore
Dangal₹387 crore
Sanju₹342 crore
PK₹341 crore

The Global and Pan-India Perspective

While Dhurandhar vs Jawan is the primary battle for Bollywood supremacy, the film still faces competition from pan-India dubbed releases. Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule currently holds the record for the highest domestic collection by a Hindi-dubbed film at ₹812 crore. Globally, Dhurandhar has already joined the elite ₹1,000 crore club joining legends like Baahubali 2 and RRR.
