Rakul Preet Singh Warns Fans

Rakul Preet Singh recently shared a strongly-worded Instagram post about a fake number impersonating her and reaching out to her contacts. Speaking about the situation, she said, “This whole thing is worrisome. We are working towards filing a cybercrime complaint. Action needs to be taken against whoever is pretending to be me. While I understand fan love and people using our photos as their DP, chatting with people or reaching out to them using my name is just not right.”

Shriya Saran Shares Her Experience

Actor Shriya Saran posted a screenshot of a number pretending to be her on Instagram on 19 November. She revealed that she has been using the same number for two decades, adding, “The guy just kept talking to people, sending not-so-good messages. It was getting out of hand.” Her post highlighted the risks of online impersonation and the emotional toll it takes on celebrities.

Sara Arjun Flags Fake Profiles

Earlier this week, Sara Arjun’s father, actor Raj Arjun, shared screenshots of a number being used by an imposter to contact people as Sara. Sara later clarified on Instagram that her only official account is @thesaraarjun and urged fans to flag any other accounts as fake. This move comes as part of ongoing efforts by stars to educate followers about verifying official profiles.

Aditi Rao Hydari And Akasa Speak Out

Aditi Rao Hydari posted on Instagram on 16 November warning about a fake WhatsApp account contacting photographers with false photoshoot offers in her name, noting that all legitimate communication comes through her official team. Singer Akasa also alerted fans on Monday about a fake number pretending to be her, urging them to block and report it while she takes necessary legal action.
