Bigg Boss 19 Winner Gaurav Khanna Defends Wife Akanksha Chamola After She Gets Trolled for Dance Video

Bigg Boss 19 winner Gaurav Khanna has reacted strongly yet calmly to the online trolling faced by his wife, Akanksha Chamola , after a video of her dancing at a party circulated on social media. In a recent interview, the actor made it clear that neither he nor his wife is affected by the negativity, emphasising that the moment was nothing more than a celebration of collective success.

Speaking to Hungamastudio, Gaurav explained that the video was shot at a success bash hosted by his publicist after his Bigg Boss 19 win. Akanksha was seen dancing and enjoying herself with members of the team, which soon became a talking point online, drawing criticism from a section of social media users.

“First of all I would like to inform everyone that the girls Akanksha was dancing with were team members of my publicist, who worked hard when I was inside the Bigg Boss 19 house. It was their success party and we were there to be a part of their celebration. And as I don’t enjoy dancing much, my wife Akanksha felt she should join them and make the moment bigger as it was everyone’s victory,"he said.

Gaurav further shared that since he doesn’t enjoy dancing much, Akanksha stepped in to lift the mood and make the celebration bigger. “A lot of them don’t even know who she was dancing with. I just stood behind and let her enjoy it as it was my team’s win after all. They were the people who worked hard for me in my absence and they also deserve to enjoy themselves. As far as trolls are concerned, I don’t get affected by them as I understand they are fans of someone. They also function with some agenda that will bring this couple down. So that our favourite celebrity looks better.”

The actor also spoke fondly about his wife’s personality, describing Akanksha as an extrovert, a quality he deeply admires and loves about her. The couple, who dated for a while, got married on November 24, 2016, in a lavish three-day wedding celebration held in Gaurav’s hometown, Kanpur.

On the professional front, Gaurav Khanna recently emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 19, which concluded on December 7. He lifted the trophy and took home the cash prize after defeating his rival, Farrhana Bhatt. The season began on August 24 and saw Gaurav largely maintaining a low profile as a silent observer inside the house. Beyond reality television, he is also known for his work in popular shows such as CID, Anupamaa, and Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam.
