From Bigg Boss Marathi to The 50: Nikki Tamboli and Arbaz Patel Take On New Challenge
Television personalities Nikki Tamboli and Arbaz Patel are all set to take on a fresh reality TV challenge as they enter JioHotstar and Colors’ upcoming reality show The 50 - this time, as a couple. The duo, who first met on Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5, are ready to bring their chemistry, competitive spirit and unfiltered personalities to the new format.
Sharing her excitement ahead of the show’s premiere, Nikki said that audiences will see a deeper side of her gameplay. “People know me for my fire and my honesty, but The 50 is where they’ll see the full picture, my strategy, sharp focus, and an unshakable hunger to win,” she said. Nikki added that she is ready to embrace the chaos of the game with complete authenticity. “This time, it’s all heart, all power, and absolutely no filters, no fear, no holding back.”
Joining her is Arbaz Patel, who has built a strong reality TV journey across formats such as Rise N Fall, Bigg Boss and Splitsvilla. Reflecting on his experience, Arbaz shared how these shows have shaped his competitive mindset. “Reality shows have taught me that nothing is ever just black or white; every moment demands instinct, perspective and emotional intelligence,” he said. He added that he is stepping into The 50 with renewed clarity and confidence, forged through real pressure and intense competition.
The couple announced their participation on Instagram, revealing that they received “the letter from the Lion.” Alongside the post, they wrote, “Iss Sher aur Sherni se pange mat lena. Aa rahe hai hum The 50 mein!” The reality show is set to stream from February 1 on JioHotstar and will air on Colors.
Nikki Tamboli made her acting debut with the Telugu horror-comedy Chikati Gadilo Chithakotudu. She later appeared in the Tamil action-horror film Kanchana 3 as Divya, which went on to gross over ₹130 crore worldwide. Her Telugu film Thipparaa Meesam featured her in the role of Mounika.
She rose to nationwide fame after participating in Bigg Boss 14, where she finished as the second runner-up. Nikki later appeared on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 and The Khatra Khatra Show. She also made a special appearance in the song “Cocktail” from Jogira Sara Ra Ra and returned to reality television with Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5, where she was the highest-paid contestant and once again finished as the second runner-up. Most recently, she was seen on Celebrity MasterChef India, where she emerged as the first runner-up.
With both Nikki Tamboli and Arbaz Patel bringing strong reality TV credentials and a proven competitive edge, The 50 promises to be an intense, dramatic and unfiltered journey - one that viewers can expect to be filled with strategy, emotion and high-stakes gameplay.
