About 'Love in Vietnam'

Directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi and presented by Zee Studios, 'Love in Vietnam' is inspired by Sabahattin Ali’s timeless Turkish classic 'Madonna in a Fur Coat.' The film tells the story of childhood sweethearts, played by Avneet Kaur and Shantanu Maheshwari, whose bond is tested when life takes them apart. As Maheshwari’s character moves to Vietnam, he encounters a new woman, portrayed by Vietnamese star Kha Ngan, sparking a complex tale of love, longing, and betrayal.

Veteran actors Raj Babbar and Farida Jalal lend their experience to the cast, enriching a narrative that spans Punjab to Vietnam, weaving themes of first love, heartbreak, and cultural connections. The film, backed by multiple production houses and producer Omung Kumar, hits theatres on September 12.

Avneet’s Journey So Far

Avneet’s rise in showbiz has been meteoric. She began as a child dancer on Dance India Dance Li’l Masters at just eight years old before moving into acting with 'Meri Maa' in 2012. From playing a princess in 'Savitri – Ek Prem Kahani' to hosting The Weekly Rap, she showcased versatility early on.

Her Bollywood break came with Rani Mukerji’s 'Mardaani' (2014), followed by roles in films like 'Dost,' 'Chidiakhana,' 'Tiku Weds Sheru,' and 'Luv Ki Arrange Marriage.'
