Relief swept through the family of Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav after the Delhi High Court granted him interim bail in a cheque bounce case involving nearly ₹9 crore. The case, which has been ongoing for years, had recently led to the actor’s detention. The court’s decision now allows him to remain out of custody until March 18, 2026, offering temporary relief amid the prolonged legal proceedings.

The interim bail was granted after Rajpal complied with specific court conditions, including depositing a part of the disputed amount with the complainant. With his sentence suspended for the time being, the actor has secured short-term relief while the matter continues in court. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for later this year.

Outside the Delhi High Court, Rajpal’s brother Chandrapal Yadav addressed members of the media who had gathered following the court’s decision. Standing with folded hands, he conveyed gratitude and a hopeful outlook. “Humme kissi se koi shikayat nahi hai… ab humare ache din aane wale hain,” he said, emphasizing that the family holds no complaints and believes better days lie ahead.

When asked about support from the film industry and further details regarding the dispute, Chandrapal refrained from elaborating. “Yeh sab bhaisaab hi batenge,” he added, indicating that Rajpal himself would address such matters.

Rajpal Yadav, widely known for his comic performances and long-standing presence in Hindi cinema, had spent over a week in detention at Tihar Jail before securing interim relief. A press conference is expected soon, where the actor is likely to speak about the case and outline his future plans.
