Rani Kapur’s notice, dated March 21, cites Clause 8.12(i) of the trust deed, which allows her to remove a trustee without providing any reason. Priya now has just 15 days to relinquish her trustee powers. Rani Kapur argues that certain assets held in the trust actually belong to her personally and has questioned the legal validity of the trust itself.

The controversy is not limited to the trust. Sunjay Kapur’s children with his former wife, Bollywood star Karisma Kapoor, Samaira and Kiaan have approached the Delhi High Court, alleging that the will Priya is relying on is forged. The court has permitted a forensic examination to verify the authenticity of the signatures on the document.

With claims of forgery and disputes over trust legitimacy, this feud is likely to continue dominating the legal and entertainment news in India.
