Released in 2025, the romantic drama quickly turned into a box-office phenomenon. The film has earned over ₹500 crore worldwide and crossed ₹300 crore in India alone, as per Sacnilk. At a time when audiences are often cautious about new faces, Saiyaara proved that fresh pairings can still deliver massive success when backed by emotion-driven storytelling.

Directed by Mohit Suri , the film’s appeal extended well beyond theatres. Its OTT release attracted new viewers, while its television premiere on Sony Max on December 20, 2025, sparked renewed excitement. Social media buzzed as fans shared behind-the-scenes clips, with special attention on the film’s now-iconic beach sequence.

Behind the beauty of that scene lay intense physical discomfort. Recalling the shoot, Aneet Padda described the harsh conditions under which it was filmed. “Our feet were burning. Before every take, they’d pour water on the sand, but it would disappear in 2 minutes. Then there was a drone shot, so we had to run. What happened was, I was just running when suddenly I think I tripped and fell. I was writhing there like a fish out of water. And then Ahaan had to pick me up, and his feet were burning too. We were both fighting for our lives. That drone shot was so beautiful we weren’t running around laughing and playing, we were running while crying our eyes out.”

Ahaan Panday shared a similar memory from his first day on set, which also took place on the beach. “First day when we went on the set, we removed our shoes and placed our foot on the sand and it was very very hot. In the second I ran and we kept running but it was too hot.”

Despite the discomfort, the sequence became one of Saiyaara’s most memorable moments. The actors believe that experiencing such challenges together strengthened their bond, helping them deliver emotions that felt raw and believable on screen.

Apart from the lead pair, the film features Geeta Agrawal Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, Shaad Randhawa, Alam Khan and others in key roles. The project is produced by Akshaye Widhani, with music composed by Faheem Abdullah, Tanishk Bagchi, Bohemia and more. Both the performances and the soundtrack received strong praise from critics and fans alike.

With its box-office numbers still climbing and continued love across OTT and television platforms, Saiyaara remains one of the standout romantic films of 2025. For Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film has not only delivered commercial success but also established them as one of the most promising new on-screen pairs of the year.
