In a conversation on Nikhil Vijayendra Simha’s podcast, Aishwarya recounted a particularly unsettling incident from the early days of her career involving a photographer during a shoot. She revealed that she was very young at the time and had gone for the assignment with her brother. What followed left her shaken.

“I was very young. I had gone with my brother. The photographer asked him to sit outside, took me inside, gave me lingerie to wear, and said, ‘I want to see your body,’" she recalled.

The actor admitted that she almost went along with the demand before her instincts warned her something was not right. Thinking quickly, she told the photographer that she needed her brother’s permission, which allowed her to step away from the situation safely. She also reflected on the fact that she never told her brother about what had happened, highlighting the silent struggles many aspiring actresses face while navigating an industry that can often put them in uncomfortable positions.

Aishwarya also opened up about another challenging moment during her early days, when a director publicly humiliated her on set. She explained that she was only a few minutes late, after which the director scolded her in front of junior artists.

“Scolding was not the problem, but he started comparing me with other actresses. Even if I made a mistake, one should not scold publicly, right?" she said, reflecting on the unfair treatment she faced as a newcomer.

Despite these early setbacks, Aishwarya’s dedication and passion for acting helped her build a strong and respected career. Known for taking on meaningful and diverse roles, she has consistently earned critical acclaim and the admiration of audiences. Her performances in Kanaa and Vada Chennai earned her the Best Actress (Special Prize) award, cementing her place as one of the most talented actors of her generation.

In recent years, she has continued to expand her repertoire, starring in the Tamil film Theeyavar Kulaigal Nadunga alongside Arjun, and featuring in the 2025 hit Sankranthiki Vasthunam. She is currently working on the upcoming film Oh..! Sukumari, directed by Bharat Darshan, where she shares the screen with Thiruveer.
