The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has issued an important reminder for Aadhaar users regarding Aadhaar update charges. In a recent post on X, UIDAI advised users to stay informed about applicable fees before using Aadhaar services to avoid paying any extra amount.
The official post stated, "Before availing Aadhaar services, please check the applicable charges to avoid paying any extra amount to the operator." This message highlights the importance of awareness around Aadhaar service charges, especially for users visiting enrollment or update centres.
For biometric updates, which include fingerprint, iris, and photograph updates, the charge is Rs 125. At the same time, there is no cost for mandatory biometric updates within the specified age group, as indicated in the official information.
