The move is expected to bring timely relief to many households, particularly those impacted by agricultural losses during the previous crop season.

Compensation Released For Crop Losses Under Insurance Scheme

One of the largest allocations has been made under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, a crop insurance programme designed to protect farmers from financial loss caused by natural calamities or crop damage.

Farmers whose crops were affected during the Kharif 2025 season have started receiving compensation through this scheme. The funds were transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 1.67 lakh farmers in the state.

According to official figures, a significant amount of financial support has been distributed as part of this compensation process. Over the years, crop insurance and crop loss relief programmes have played an important role in providing stability to farmers when unpredictable weather or other factors affect agricultural output.

Government data indicates that thousands of crores of rupees have been distributed to farmers in the state during the past decade under similar compensation initiatives.

Support Extended To Agricultural Commission Agents

Apart from farmers, commission agents who assist in agricultural procurement activities have also received payments from the state government.

These agents play a key role in facilitating the procurement of crops such as wheat, paddy and millet from farmers during harvest seasons. To support their services, the government provides commission payments linked to procurement activities.

Recently, payments were transferred to the accounts of more than eleven thousand commission agents for the Kharif procurement season of 2025–26. The amount represents the balance commission payable in addition to the rate already determined under central guidelines.

Officials say these payments help ensure smooth procurement operations and maintain an efficient agricultural marketing system within the state.

Financial Assistance Through Social Security Schemes

Alongside agricultural support measures, the state government has also released funds under several social security schemes aimed at vulnerable groups.

Millions of beneficiaries have received payments through pensions and welfare programmes that provide financial support to elderly citizens, persons with disabilities and other eligible individuals. These schemes are designed to ensure basic income support for people who may not have regular sources of earnings.

The funds were transferred directly to the bank accounts of beneficiaries, ensuring transparency and reducing delays in distribution.

Such social welfare programmes are considered an essential part of the government’s efforts to strengthen financial security for vulnerable households across both rural and urban areas.

Housing Assistance For Rural Families

Another key component of the financial support package has been assistance for housing construction under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for rural households.

Thousands of families received funds intended to help them build or improve their homes. The housing programme aims to provide safe and durable shelter for families living in rural areas who may otherwise struggle to afford proper housing.

Since the launch of the scheme several years ago, large sums have been distributed to beneficiaries to support rural housing development.

Dayalu Yojana Offers Support To Affected Families

Financial assistance has also been extended to families under the Dayalu Yojana, a scheme created to help households facing sudden hardships.

The programme provides support to families in situations where members suffer injuries due to stray animal attacks or lose their lives in accidents. Through this initiative, affected families receive financial aid to cope with unexpected emergencies.

Thousands of families have benefited from this assistance, which aims to provide immediate relief during difficult circumstances.

By combining agricultural relief, welfare pensions, housing support and emergency assistance programmes, the government has attempted to deliver broad-based financial support to different sections of society. The use of direct bank transfers ensures that funds reach beneficiaries quickly and with greater transparency, helping strengthen financial stability for farmers and families across the state.
