Clear Identity, Better Protection

To streamline identification, the government plans to issue accreditation certificates and official ID cards to genuine journalists. This step will help them work freely without facing unnecessary hurdles while also ensuring easy access to government-backed services.

Cashless Treatment in the Pipeline

Journalists often stand up for society, but during personal crises, especially health emergencies, they are left on their own. Recognizing this gap, the state is preparing a system to offer cashless medical treatment. In Gorakhpur, groundwork has already begun through the Gorakhpur Press Club, signaling early implementation.

One Platform for All Journalists

The Chief Minister also emphasized the need to bring all journalists under one umbrella. While those associated with major media houses already receive certain benefits, many others remain excluded. The government now aims to build a unified system that ensures equal support for everyone in the profession.

Celebrating 200 Years of Hindi Journalism

This year also marks a historic milestone, 200 years of Hindi journalism. The journey began with the launch of Udant Martand on May 30, 1826. Since then, journalism has played a vital role in strengthening democracy and amplifying public voices.

With these new measures, Uttar Pradesh is taking a meaningful step towards recognizing and supporting the people who keep society informed every day.
