J-K: Indian Army pays tribute to Havildar Mohd Zabir for supreme sacrifice in Kupwara

Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], December 17 (ANI): The Indian Army's Chinar Corps on Wednesday paid rich tributes to braveheart Havildar Mohd Zabir, who laid down his life while on operational duty in Kupwara district.
In a post on X, the Chinar Corps said, "Chinar Corps honours the supreme sacrifice of Braveheart Havildar Mohd Zabir, while on operational duty in Kupwara district. His courage and dedication will forever inspire us."

The Northern Command of the Indian Army also said that Havildar Mohd Zabir's sacrifice and devotion will forever remain etched in the collective memory of the force.
"Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, #ArmyCdrNC and all ranks of #NorthernCommand pay homage to #Braveheart Havildar Mohd Zabir, who sacrificed his life while on operational duty in harsh weather and difficult terrain in the service of the Nation. His sacrifice and devotion will forever remain etched in the collective memory of the force. Northern Command stands in solidarity with the bereaved family in this hour of grief," Northern Command wrote on X.
Meanwhile, a wreath-laying ceremony for SOG Jawan Amjad Ali Khan was held at District Police Lines Udhampur on Tuesday. Khan lost his life during an ongoing encounter in the Sohan area of Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The wreath-laying ceremony was attended by Jammu and Kashmir DGP Nalin Prabhat, IGP Jammu zone Bhim Sen Tuti, along with Senior Police officers, CRPF personnel, and the District Udhampur Administration, who paid rich floral tributes to the fallen soldier.
Surinder Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday paid tribute to the SOG Jawan Amjad Pathan during the Udhampur encounter. (ANI)
