From a Quiet Turn to Viral Fame: Inside Jharkhand’s ‘YouTube Wala Gaon’

In the era of shorts, videos and viral trends even the most remote and unassuming places that have nothing to do with social media become viral. A small locality in Jharkhand has recently become the talking point of social media with everyone doing ‘charcha’ over it in their chai adda, this place is widely referred to as ‘ YouTube Wala Gaon .’ The name sparks instant curiosity, with many like you and me assuming it is a village full of viral youtubers , however the reality is a lot different from what it actually seems on the face value.

The Location Behind the Viral Trend

The so-called ‘YouTube village’ is located in the Garhwa district , particularly in the Ranka block. At the heart of this viral story is not an entire village but a small area which the people call ‘ YouTube Mod .’ The area is surrounded by greenery and is highlighted by its smooth bend which makes it aesthetic and appealing for travel vlogs and short videos.

Unlike conventional tourist spots, which have huge amounts of historical significance or infrastructure beauty, the mod has none of this . Its popularity is deeply rooted in how it looks on one of those youtuber’s camera lens and how aesthetic it looks on their youtube videos and it reminds quite beautifully how even the best views come in the most unexpected location
