"Lucknow has reached new development heights": UP CM Yogi flags off 250 eco-friendly municipal vehicles
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 1 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday flagged off 250 electric and CNG vehicles powered by environmentally friendly green energy for better waste management by the Lucknow Municipal Corporation in Lucknow.
Addressing the event, the CM highlighted the development of Lucknow over the past nine years, emphasising improved living standards, infrastructural growth, and enhanced safety measures.
Adityanath emphasised his administration's commitment to sustainable development and solar energy integration across the state. "Ayodhya city has been developed as a solar city and Lucknow is also being made solar-equipped on the same lines... There is less discussion of good works, but we will do it so that it increases encouragement," the Chief Minister stated.
Prior to the event, the Chief Minister emphasised the progress of Uttar Pradesh towards the goal of 'Zero Waste to Zero Carbon Emissions', crediting the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for steering the state toward smart and environmentally conscious urbanisation.
"These vehicles are symbols of the double-engine government's commitment to cleanliness, sustainable development, and environmental protection. Through them, efforts to make Lucknow clean, smart, and green will gain even more momentum," he said. (ANI)
