Not PM Kisan, Rs 1 Lakh Released Directly To Eligible Urban Beneficiaries
While millions of farmers are eagerly awaiting the 22nd instalment of the PM Kisan Yojana, several residents of Uttar Pradesh have already received Rs 1 lakh each directly into their accounts. This payment is part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban ( PMAY-Urban ), a government initiative aimed at supporting home construction for eligible beneficiaries. The official 2026 beneficiary list has been released, and those whose names appear are set to receive financial assistance under this scheme.
The financial aid under this scheme ensures that eligible families can initiate or continue construction of their homes without delays. Beneficiaries are encouraged to verify whether their names appear on the list to confirm eligibility and avoid missing payments.

First Instalment of PMAY-Urban Already Reached Beneficiaries
The first instalment under PMAY-Urban has begun reaching beneficiaries across the state. On December 18, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handed over Rs 1 lakh each to 2 lakh selected beneficiaries. This distribution marked a total grant of Rs 2,000 crore. Under the PMAY-Urban Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC) category, the scheme provides funding in three stages: the first and second instalments account for 40 percent each, while the remaining 20 percent is disbursed as the final instalment.The financial aid under this scheme ensures that eligible families can initiate or continue construction of their homes without delays.
